About Us

Our story

We are recovered addicts/alcoholics and family members of those with addictive and compulsive behavioral disorders.  We personally understand how confusing, scary and anxiety inducing it can be to suffer with addictive behaviors as well as be the family member of someone suffering.  We adhere to treating others as we ourselves want to be treated, honestly, respectfully, ethically and compassionately.  One of our core principles is, “to walk alongside our clients, loving them, exactly as they are, until they are in a place to love themselves.”

Lisa Brown, Licensed Counselor

Co-Founder/CEO/ Executive Director

Substance use disorders and addictive compulsive behaviors are spread throughout my family tree.  Growing up I witnessed how hard their lives were, how parts of society would disregard and ignore them, all while they were suffering.  I was saddened by this, as I knew in my heart that my family members who struggled didn’t choose to be this way.  No one would ever choose such a painful, lonely existence.

My career path has taken me from being a primary counselor in a residential setting, to interventionists, to clinical sober coaching, community counseling, sober companion, sober transport, to Program Director of a 25-bed high intensity after care program.  Throughout my years working in all different rolls in the industry, my goal continues to be the same, to accept, appreciate, honor and love all my clients, just as they are, while giving them clinical, empathetic, compassionate guidance, while walking along side them on their journey towards healing.

Roger Brown, Licensed Counselor

Co-Founder/Treasurer

“Hi, My name is Roger and I am an alcoholic.” My journey to recovery was a long one, filled with many battle wounds. Today, I carry these scars with pride, knowing how hard I fought to get free from baffling and cunning disease of addiction.

My career path started out a long way from where I am today. Once I accepted my spiritual awakening, I decided to further my education and help others who have the same disease I do.

I started out as a primary counselor in an out patient setting and soon found my true passion, helping men get through difficult, triggering times in their life by being their sober companion. To be with someone, 24 hours a day, while they are fighting to hold onto the gift of sobriety, is a humbling and honoring experience. To be invited into someones vulnerable space is a gift I never take for granted.
